1959
Pasquale Natuzzi begins to write history. A rented studio apartment in Taranto "with a second-hand sewing machine, a hammer and four scissors", enough to make the first sofas

1973
Fire destroys factory - The sheer resilience of a company that never gives up, even whan being gutted by a massive fire that not only reduced their products to ashes but also a pile of bank cheques waiting to be paid in. Pasquale Natuzzi moved his team to Santeramo in Colle and resumed production from a workshop that was still being built around them as they worked

1977
The window onto the word - Pasquale Natuzzi's international adventures began in the Middle East. But it was on his debut at the Cologne international trade fair, where he presented the Navaho sofa, that he first truly made his mark on the international scene.

1982
The Natuzzi revolution - Pasquale Natuzzi had flown to Canada for a trade fair, but a bureaucratic technicality prevented him from showing his products. So he went for a visit to Macy's, the huge department store in New York City, where he persuaded a buyer to try out his products. The Canadian setback, ironically, was what enabled Natuzzi to conquer the American market.

1986
The jeans of the sofa word - Natuzzi transformed the sofa into a versatile, colorful, everyday product that families could replace on a more frequent basis. This led to the living room being transformed from an area that used to be kept under wraps for entertaining guests into one of the most lived-in areas of the house.

1993
Wall Street - Natuzzi SpA was the only non-American furniture firm to be listed on Wall Street. To crown this success, Natuzzi with the task of designing the American headquarters. A building which resembles the cross-section of a ship, a symbol of the discovery of America.

2000
The move towards retail - Natuzzi opened up to the retail market, the collections being extended to other furniture, as well as furnishings and accessories, providing an all-round interior design experience for the living room.

2009
The experience of Mediterranean lifestyle - The launch of the Natuzzi Italia brand line marks a new era in the Italian premium design. The search for a harmonious combination of design, function, ethics and aesthetics by working with the finest international designers. Living, dinning, sleeping areas, and accessories, providing an all-round interior design experience in shops all around the world.
