When Vienna Became a Gallery
A unique afternoon where design met contemporary art
On Sunday, April 6, 2025, the elegant showroom of Natuzzi Italia in Vienna transformed once again into a vibrant gallery space for the second edition of the Sunday Club – Art & Design Pop-Up Vol.2. This inspiring event brought together contemporary art, timeless Italian design, and a creative community of art lovers, collectors, and curious minds.
From 2:00 PM onward, visitors were immersed in a world where creativity, conversation, and culture blended in perfect harmony.
Two remarkable women, two artistic worlds
Christa Illera – The architect of form and emotion
Former architecture professor at TU Vienna and a prominent local artist, Christa Illera, presented a powerful collection of large-scale works exploring the structure and beauty of the human body. Her approach combined technical discipline with emotional depth, captivating viewers with expressive forms and multilayered textures.
One of the highlights of the vernissage was a live nude drawing session, where a visitor posed as a model for 30 minutes — a tribute to Illera’s artistic roots in Vienna’s Künstlerhaus.
All artworks were exhibited throughout the event and available for purchase.
Antonella Quacchia – Between abstraction and imagination
A former CERN computer engineer turned artist, Antonella Quacchia showcased her abstract paintings and installations rich in symbolism, emotion, and experimental technique. Known for pushing boundaries, she merged textures and unconventional materials to create art that felt both otherworldly and grounded.
During the event, she performed a live painting session, allowing guests to witness her creative process up close.
Her works were also on display and available for acquisition throughout the exhibition.
